Young Edward Apffel would be down at the Oakland waterfront at the crack of dawn to buy coffee beans. On a small kitchen stove he would roast the beans, then grind and bag the coffee. Now in its fourth generation, with more modern technology available, Apffels provides a host of truly fine coffees, carefully roasted and blended for the discerning buyer. Coffees sourced from the finest growing regions in the world like Colombia, Kenya, Ethiopia and Guatemala are selected with the same standards Edward adopted many years ago....... "quality "in the cup, "consistency" in the appearance.
